The Field Service Engineer provides on-site service including, but not limited to preventative maintenance
services
, calibration, installation and training across all product lines.
Responsibilities:
This position will be based in the Greater Chicago area with responsibility for supporting customers located throughout Illinois and surrounding states.
This position will also conduct supplemental travel into other territories on a regular basis.
The duties include the Preventive Maintenance, troubleshooting,
repair
and calibration of instruments in the assigned region.
Must be able to manage inventory
Must be able to complete administrative tasks associate with field service
This position requires up to 75% overnight travel within the United States
Requirements:
The preferred candidate will have a B.S. in
electronics
engineering, chemistry, physics or another technical discipline; as well as 4 years' experience in the calibration, troubleshooting and repair of complex electronic instruments.
Good communication skills and strong customer service skills are a must for this position.
Direct experience in the analytical instruments field is a plus.
This position requires a highly motivated individual that is capable of completing assigned tasks with little to no supervision.
The ability to work with electronic schematics, test equipment and tools for repairs is required.
A valid passport is required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering, physics or related field is required.
3 years of experience in troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining complex analytical instruments.
Must maintain a current and valid driver's license and passport.
