The Company uses Best of Breed technology in e-Discovery and cutting edge digital forensics technology. Are you looking to work with a talented group of seasoned Forensics and e-Discovery experts?
As the Company continues to strengthen the in-house digital forensics practice, they are looking for experienced, motivated, and cutting edge talent. The client is looking to add experienced Digital Forensic Examiners to provide technical services and consulting to their clients. This opportunity will be based in either Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and/or Washington D.C.
Skills Required
Digital Forensics, Computer Forensics, e-Discovery, Incident Response, Data Breach EnScript, EnCE, CCE, EnCase, FTK, dtSearch
Qualifications
EnCE, CCE or equivalent certification a must.
Strong experience in computer/digital forensics and e-Discovery.
Working knowledge of EnCase Forensics, EnCase Enterprise, and FTK Suite. Experience with Mobile Forensics, Social Media collections, and SQL Server a plus
Thorough understanding of chain of custody procedures, forensic lab best practices, and evidence handling procedures.
EnCE, certification a must, CISSP a plus
Experience with programming languages (e.g Python or EnScript) a plus
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to solve problems.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work independently.
Able to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
What You Will Be Doing:
Performing digital forensic acquisitions, electronic evidence collections, and perform forensic analysis.
Prepare and maintain case files with attention to detail and completeness.
Follow strict data and evidence handling procedures.
Draft expert reports, affidavits, and declarations describing methods and practices, facts and findings.
Form and articulate expert testimony in depositions, trials, and other proceedings based on analysis.
Prepare high quality oral and written work product presenting complex technical matters clearly and concisely.
Consult with and take direction from supervisors, project managers, and clients regarding data collections, case work and investigations.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
