Reports to Managing Director of Analytics
The position will have no direct reports but will play a critical role in the mentorship of the analytic team


Absolute must have's - 7
years related work experience in conducting quantitative analytics on primary consumer research studies, interpreting data, drawing conclusions while addressing sophisticated marketing implications. Candidate in this role must be well versed in managing integration of various data sources, including pos/transactional data, primary survey data, social media data and video data among others to build data systems out. Expert SAS skills and developing training materials for new analysts are essential.

Responsibilities:

In the near term, 50% of responsibilities would be Data Systems Management, 20% Data Processing and Reporting, 10% Data Systems Innovation, 10% Data Execution, Interpretation and Insights, 10% SAS Training/Mentorship. As the data infrastructures are built out and established, that would become less and the other pieces would increase. This role would have minimal interaction with the external client -- a bit more if there is a data sophisticated, highly technical client.

- Performs and documents procedures for data preparation including data loading, data cleaning, standardization and analysis
- Consults with analysts on data collection and coding problems and assists in developing means to correct the problems
- Collaborates in synthesis, reporting and development of client deliverables with Project Directors
- Performs advanced quantitative analyses of data from multiple streams using SAS
- Demonstrates a real curiosity when analyzing and interpreting data (i.e., is not satisfied with the most obvious or easy answer but rather explores all possible alternatives), formulating hypotheses and interrogating the data in order to prove, disprove or adjust hypotheses and develops ad-hoc reports
- Makes connections to other research or knowledge in order to reinforce/enhance research findings
- Innovates technology, processes and work flows to improve data collection, data management, analysis/synthesis

SAS TRAINING/MENTORSHIP
- Creates and maintains SAS syntax library of relevant programs and analyses that are frequently used
- Provides on-going consultation and technical assistance to analytic staff

Qualifications:
See must have's
Bachelor's degree in the Social Sciences, Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Econometrics or Statistics; Advanced degree preferred
Deep Marketing, Communications, Advertising and/or Operations Research experience a plus
Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools a plus (Tableau, MicroStrategy)
Experience with survey programming software a plus (Qualtrics)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
