Under the new leadership of renowned architect Wiel Arets, IIT Architecture seeks a highly motivated and experienced individual to serve as Producer in the IIT College of Architecture (CoA) publishing office. This position''s primary role is to prepare the IIT College of Architecture (CoA) publications for release in print, through video, on digital platforms, and on the web. The Producer is responsible for overseeing the planning, management, and delivery of projects from concept through completion by working externally, interfacing with contributors, writers, faculty, visiting architects, administration staff, AV staff, etc. and helping them navigate key milestones; and within the Publishing office, with the Publishing Director and the Senior Designer through all project phases. Produces books, brochures, posters, newsletters, prospectus and other related materials for print, web, social media, and video. Establishes clear submission, cataloging, and archiving systems for all CoA recordings, projects, photography, video in cooperation with the Publishing office and the Head of the Graham Resource Center and Architecture Librarian; alongside equal processing, formatting, and cataloging of similar material generated by the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize (MCHAP) office, with whom the CoA Publishing office will work closely.
Formatting and quality control of all handbooks, standards, guidance, and other technical documents for electronic, website and print publishing in accordance with CoA formatting standards. Working under the supervision of the Senior Designer, the Producer is responsible for coordination and administration of individual print, web, and interactive projects which may include: scheduling, developing budgets, procurement in addition to planning, management and delivery of projects.
The ideal candidate will be a person who is detail-oriented, is dedicated to producing high-quality work, can maintain both technical and creative projects, and is able to work under tight deadlines. S/he will enjoy handling multiple responsibilities, typically requiring quick turnaround; using computer software, formatting and combining text, numerical data, photographs, charts, and other visual graphic elements to define a publication''s purpose and audience, and building clear, accessible, future-proof backup, cataloging, and archiving systems for all content produced by the CoA. Strong knowledge and experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, data asset management systems, web editing interfaces (eg. content management systems, email campaign systems, eg. MailChimp, etc.) are requisites for the position. Knowledge of publishing processes is also necessary. The candidate should be familiar with the field of Architecture and Higher Education. Knowledge of and experience with DAM, databases, web design and video production is a plus. Bachelor''s degree required and 2
years of relevant experience in design/publishing/web/video production and editorial standards. Copywriting/editing skills are a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
