Absolute must have's - 10
years of applied research experience directing and conducting quantitative analytics on primary consumer research studies, interpreting data and drawing conclusions while addressing sophisticated marketing implications. Hold a deep experience of applied statistics - multi-variate statistics (factor analysis, cluster analysis, correspondence analysis, etc.). Expert level SAS skills are essential. Possess a passion and natural curiosity about research and what makes people tick, along with a desire to innovate and bring the latest analytic approaches, technology and tools to the industry. Design research methodologies, develop questionnaires and create analytic plans with input from team. This SME will be a data-driven strategic research professional who can direct research projects and come from industry vertical in service, retail, durables and/or CPG.

Responsibilities:
This role will focus primarily on primary, quantitative survey data, but will utilize any number of data sources, including transaction data and social media data, to complement the survey data. With quantitative data being the focus of this role, a comfort level and appreciation for qualitative research methods, and how the two complement one another is necessary.
Role will interact directly with both internal and external clients and will be heavily involved in all stages of research projects, including scoping and proposal development, methodological design, data collection, analytic plan development and execution, data interpretation and insights, and creation of a compelling data-driven story.
Manage a team of analysts throughout the entire span of the project. The role will hold direct reports on a project by project basis. As the firm grows, the position will have more direct reports.
Create high quality, compelling client presentations and correspondence, demonstrating strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Translate data and insights into actionable, strategic reports that our clients can use to drive their business decisions and results.

Qualifications:
See must have's
Advanced degree in the Social Sciences, Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Econometrics or Statistics
Survey research experience - candidates that are curious and inquisitive about human behavior
Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools a plus (Tableau, MicroStrategy)
Experience with survey programming software a plus (Qualtrics)
