The Device Supply Chain Planning Specialist provides analytical support to Retail Inventory and Operations Team by utilizing SAP and CARES to manage operations of wireless devices and accessories for the approximate 480 Retail locations and Direct Fulfillment. This position is responsible for addressing the Special Order mailbox as well as reconciling inventory discrepancies from the field. Communication and stakeholdering field associates for all things inventory will be a key component of the role, as well as providing analytical and task support for the Inventory Analysts, and participating in Special Projects as needed.
o Consolidate and trend inbound communication from field associates to root cause, process improve, and share relevant data with key stakeholders o Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze and recommend conclusions based on inventory data, operational issues, or anecdotal information o Support shipment tracking and resolve mis-shipments and packing slip discrepancies. o Reconcile IDOC errors between POS system and SAP o Manage shipping exceptions at the store level and consolidate data for NDC and Logistics team to root cause and solve o Maintain the Inventory e-mailbox, addressing all inventory and inventory operations questions from stores o Maintain job aids/how to guides for inventory processes performed in stores. o Maintain relevant information via an informational web portal for field associates to have information they need. Prepare special communications direct to field associates. Host a monthly conference call for store operations teams. o Support Inventory Analysts as needed by collecting data or entering orders in SAP based on information from Analysts and Demand Planners o Partner with the agent channel (Device Supply Chain), as well as with B2B groups to support special inventory operations o Provide analysis for special projects as directed by management.
Qualifications: o Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required. o 1-3 years of relevant work experience required; inventory planning in retail or related field preferred. Operations and/or customer service are also preferred. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. o Ability to balance multiple tasks at once, and reprioritize as needed. o Strong ability to manage time effectively, and versatility critical. o Self motivated and demonstrates initiative. o Ability to develop relationships, both internally and externally, and work in a team environment. o Experience with vendor (or 3rd party) relationships preferred. o Demonstrated strong analytical ability. o Ability to sort through ambiguity and work in sometimes undefined roles. o Understanding of retail math concepts, finance, and analytics required. o Ability to think independently and troubleshoot various issues. o Ability to work with multiple computer applications at the same time. o Advanced knowledge of PC Windows based applications (Excel and Word) required. o SAP experience is preferred.
