Responsibilities:
The Securities Operations Specialist will be responsible for back office reconciliation of equity
trading accounts. He/she will interact with traders and portfolio managers; therefore, is expected
to demonstrate good time-management and prioritization skills. Operations personnel
communicate heavily via phone and email with broker counterparties, so effective communication
skills are required.
Duties include:
Follow securities transactions from time of execution through settlement
Oversee the reconciliation of trading and position activity against broker confirms
Research, book and reconcile corporate actions
Identify, analyze and follow exceptions until resolved
Oversee the swap settlement process
Liaise between Portfolio Manager and broker contacts
Learn and master proprietary trading and reconciliation software applications
Assist in improving daily processes and protocols
Requirements:
At least two years experience in the operations area of a securities firm
Expert knowledge in U.S. and International Securities processing and settlement,
including corporate actions and equity swaps
Attention to detail and an ability to multi-task
Strong organizational, prioritization and analytical skills
Strong problem solving skills
The ability to adapt in a rapidly changing business environment
Proven track record of reliability and accountability
Self-motivated individual who takes ownership of tasks and initiative to resolve issues
related to equity trades and corporate actions
Series 7 preferred, but not requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
