You have a Bachelors degree and ten (10) or more years acute care Environmental Services experience that includes experience in a complex university hospital setting. We seek candidates for the role of General Manager Environmental Services. In this role you will deliver strong operational performance by executing against organizational and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, completing assessments and developing necessary action plans to provide optimal managed services and drive patient and customer satisfaction. You will ensure compliance to all safety standards. You will ensure the continuous improvement of patient satisfaction scores. You will provide overall direction for all Managers, Supervisors and front line employees, ensuring employee development, engagement and compliance with human resource related policies and standards, including conducting applicable rounding.
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree and ten (10) or more years acute care Environmental Services experience. Strong preference given to candidates who have healthcare environmental services experience in a complex university/academic teaching hospital setting. Patient Transportation experience a plus. Must have experience with collective bargaining. Must have a demonstrated ability to develop management team. Must have previous budget responsibility of at least $10-15 million. Must have a demonstrated track record of improving patient satisfaction scores and bed turnaround time. Must have a proven ability of using metrics to drive business outcomes. Must have excellent client relationships and the ability to deal with a demanding environment. Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to develop operational component forecasts and is able to explain variances. Must ensure compliance with all contract obligations.
