Job
Summary:
Junior member of the art staff, creating high caliber artwork under supervision while developing technical and artistic skills. Learn and retain techniques to meet WMS standards.
Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision learn and create character design, text treatment, animation and apply color theory.
Develop a proficiency in Photoshop while learning other software applications.
Broaden artistic abilities through company training, independent learning, and learning from other team members.
Broaden software expertise through company training, independent learning, and learning from other team members.
Create and document all art assets with assistance from Lead and Senior Artists.
Accountable for the timely completion of all assigned tasks.
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
Education:
Associates Degree
Required
Experience:
1 year previous experience in a production or collegiate environment
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Good drawing and rendering abilities
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Photoshop
Working knowledge of MS Office
Preferred:
Working knowledge of Flash, After Effects, Illustrator, Studio Max or other 3D platform

Portfolio (website or blog required for pre-interview)
Samples of sketch work (sketchbook or loose-leaf)
Layered working Photoshop, Flash, After Effects, and Studio Max files as appropriate to the position
Animation samples if animation is core ability (AVI, Quicktime, or website)
