Responsibilities:
oThe Industrial Maintenance Technician performs limited preventive maintenance assignments, completes minor repairs, and assists in major repairs.
oOversees plant maintenance needs within our three plants.
oSupports Plumbing, lighting maintenance with the plants.
oThe Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing & repairing production/manufacturing equipment during Unplanned & Planned Downtime, this will include preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, adjustments & repairs.
oDemonstrate ability to Inspect, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and machinery to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
Ability to diagnose and repair minor electrical, carpentry, plumbing and HVAC issues.
oDiagnoses problems.
Disassembles units, cleans, lubricates, repairs, and replaces parts.
oMaintains function and reliability of manufacturing and support equipment by performing preventative maintenance.
oMonitors machines regularly for signs of defects & malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises, and conducting testing as appropriate.
oPerform breakdown analysis to understand root cause of component.
oWork with outside contractors on assigned tasks.
oUnderstand & comply with GMP's, Food Safety Practices, audit standards as well as Plant Safety Practices oFollow food safety regulations by sanitizing equipment before and after checkups to avoid cross contamination.
oUse a variety of electronic, power and hand tools to perform job functions.
oMaintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company / OSHA Standards.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
oRequires a flexible work schedule, which may include nights and weekends to support operating schedule and the needs of the facility.
oMay perform other duties related duties as necessary to meet the ongoing business needs of the organization.
Qualifications:
oExcellent technical and problem-solving skills oMust be able to work under limited supervision.
oSupport FDA & USDA Food Safety Initiatives oDetail oriented oTeamwork attitude always oMust be able to prioritize.
oValid state driver's license oMust be neat, meticulous and pay attention to regulations and details when completing tasks.
oMust be able to lift to 50 lbs.
oAble to bend.
oMust be able to twist and reach overhead.
oMust be able to travel within our three (3) plants.
oMust have DL Education:
oRequires a high school diploma, GED (General Educational Development), or equivalent.
o2-4 years Maintenance experience working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment a plus.
oEPA Certification a plus oPacMac & DoBoy machine experience required.
