Technology Business Office Portfolio Intern - Summer 2024

Description We are seeking motivated and talented students who want to help us solve some of the most complex challenges in financial technology.
CME's Technology Summer Internship program offers students opportunities to learn more about CME's business, our role in the financial industry, and the types of technology that keep our markets running.
Students will develop both their technical skills and expand their network with access to industry experts, while working alongside other talented and ambitious students with a passion for FinTech.
This intern will work in the Technology Business Office - Project Portfolio team.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in further developing their data mining and statistical data analysis skills.
This is a paid full-time summer internship of 10-12 weeks and with the possibility of a part-time fall extension.
Local to Chicago.
Hybrid schedule and 40 hours per week.
Principal Accountabilities Assists the team by developing analytic tools from project, financial and resource data to draw conclusions, highlight trends and/or identify potential issues.
Assists the team in developing portfolio dashboards or other management tools for project prioritization and execution.
Prepares slides, reports and other data analysis artifacts used to report portfolio project status and resource investment to senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college program, pursuing a degree.
Programs in Data Analytics/Science, Finance, Accounting, or related fields are preferred; however, all disciplines are encouraged to apply.
Must be team oriented with a desire to collaborate Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and time management Computer proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Workspace Bonus Qualifications SQL experience and a working knowledge of business analytic tools (Power BI, Tableau, and/or Looker) are strongly recommended.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
