CAD experience and NICET certification is required.
This is a great opportunity for a self motivated design professional to work on a high energy, fast paced team.
We are looking for you to implement your ideas and processes in this department and help establish our presence in this area.
This design lead will collaborate with our office and field crew to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines.
Specific Goals/Guidelines for Design:
A) Plan and lay out fire sprinkler systems using architectural drawings.
B) Perform necessary tests and research to provide hydraulic calculations for various systems.
C) Design sprinkler systems to specifications and local codes using CAD based software and MEP Cad D) Prepare necessary drawings and submittals.
E) List material for projects and contact proper suppliers for quotes.
F) Review all work prior to submittal.
G) Build a packet including blueprints, contact info, test forms, and special instructions for field use.
H) Schedule necessary pre installation meetings with project manager and foreman.
I) Maintain records for future review.
J) Coordination with other subcontractors to ensure minimal design conflict.
K) Maintain a minimum NICET III certification.
L) Perform continuing education and keep current with codes governing the design and installation of fire sprinkler systems.
M) Keep current with new products and procedures that will benefit customers and the company.
N) Attend progress meetings and visit job sites during installation to examine progress and review any issues with site foreman.
o) Assist with project management and other tasks as needed.
