Summary:
We are a small children's acute care hospital focused on treating complex medical conditions, chronic illnesses, developmental disabilities, and abuse and trauma.
The EVS specialist assists in all operational activities, maintaining a pleasant, comfortable, and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
An EVS Specialist is responsible for cleaning fixtures, sinks, toilets and tubs, emptying and clean waste containers; replacing liners, high dust i.
e.
, vents, clocks, tops of doors, door frames, making beds with clean linen.
The specialist is then asked to uploadlinen data into the hospital laundry computer upon cleaning in-house linen.
Essential EVS Specialist/Linen Aide Functions:
Deliver clean linen to assigned area, sort warn, stained or otherwise imperfect articles Cleaning in-house linen and upload data into computer Pickup, receive clean linen and sort clean linen by removing linen cart Receive clean linen carts, inspects for accuracy, prepares for distribution Dust mop and wet mop floors, baseboards Empty and wash waste containers and replace liners dispose of trash and separate biohazard waste High dust door/ doorframe, clock, wall fixtures, vending machine What we need from you:
Education:
High school diploma or G.
E.
D preferred.
Prefer two or three years' experience in health care environmental service / linen work Licensure/Certification:
None Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
