Responsibilities:
Strategic Influence & Business Partnering Coach and guide the Lodge Director of Finance regarding revenue generation and property expense management through business performance management by reviewing labor models, operating expenses and revenues. Lead, in partnership with Lodge Director of Finance, the regular cadence of performance management updates and discussions with Regional VPs and corporate finance. Partner with property General Managers and Regional Vice Presidents of Operations to build and deliver strategic and financial plans. Partner with Rooms and Aquatics lines of business to lead and support company projects and leading strategic initiatives. Ensure operational and financial processes are standard and consistent across all lodges in the region. Coordinate, analyze and report operational and financial performance to Regional and Corporate Management (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required). Support efforts to identify, monitor and, where appropriate, mitigate areas of financial risk. Update and implement lodge specific financial policies and procedures. Financial Planning & Analysis Direct and administer all financial operations of the region resorts to include, but not limited to asset protection, financial reporting, systems management, budget and forecasting, region management and meeting facilitation and participation. Assist with coordination and review of monthly profit and loss statements with Directors of Finance, RVPs, GMs and SVP Finance. Coordinate with shared services center and third-party service providers (outsourcing provider, auditors, state and local tax authorities) to ensure all necessary information is compiled, reviewed, and approved. Delivery of financial performance through improvement and growth of working capital and EBITDA. Lead, in partnership with region and corporate leadership team, the annual and long term operating and capital investment plans. Operational & Financial Controls Ensure financial, cash, operational and fraud controls framework is in place, and has a regular cadence of compliance monitoring of internal controls that identifies gaps and puts in place remediation. Recommend and improve internal control policies over revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities of the resorts (customer billing, paycheck distribution, cash machine management, and contract review and compliance, etc.). Other Tasks Plan and administer financial training and/or development programs within the region, which will provide for well-trained Lodge Directors of Finance, General Managers and Department Directors. Provide coverage for Lodge Director of Finance as necessary. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required. Lead the capex reporting process, including forecasting, budgeting and reporting of actuals to leadership and owners Partner with the Financial Shared Service Center to ensure accuracy of financial statements, and adherence to Accounting policies and procedures. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's Degree in Finance, or related field Minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance environment Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Excel with demonstrated ability to perform analysis and modeling Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other financial systems Ability to travel up to 50% of time, focused on property visits within the Western Region and occasionally to the Chicago Corporate Office. Desired Qualifications & Traits CPA and/ or MBA Minimum of 5 years' experience in theme park or hotel industry Multi-property or location financial management experience Previous experience with Coupa, Tableau, OneSream and/or Sun Accounting system Strong problem solving and organizational skills Attention to detail Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Billing Business Performance Management Coaching And Mentoring Coordinating Corporate Finance Apply to this job.
