Job Description:
Your way to impact You will work closely with user research and user experience teams to identify a developer s pain point.
In partnership with engineering, you will build the strategy and roadmap, define product requirements for developer products, with the goal of each new release making a measurable impact on the business prioritize developer s testing to go-live experiences.
You will also be an organic developer evangelist and advocate and bring the voice of developers to enhance future roadmaps and product strategy.
In this role you will,Map a developer s journey, translate challenges into a roadmap, and execute with precision and transparencyCultivate a strong understanding of developer needs by being part of developer communityShip functionality after you ve personally test driven it and you can edit technical documentation required for product releasesUse social media to interact directly with developers for feedbackSolicit feedback from internal and external stakeholdersBe a team player and mentor fellow product managers in their development journeyEngage with a cross-section of developers and/or internal developer facing teams with a goal to build a business case to continuously evolve the build/upgrade integration experience.
Provide the right level of support and direction to keep the engineering team working efficiently and aligned with the overall product strategy.
Engage with teams (Sales, Marketing, Professional Services) across PayPal to help Pilot and Launch enhancements / improvements with a goal towards improving adoption.
Interact with developers and translate their needs into product requirementsDefine key product indicators and success metrics for developer products Partner closely with User Experience team to build robust experiencesPartner closely with User Research team to help define and test hypotheses to uncover the developer journey and pain pointsManage stakeholders through communication strategiesPartner with cross-functional teams such as Product Marketing, Platform Engineering, User Experience, User Research teams to define and ship developer productsPartner with the engineering team to ship functionality that delights users, has the right balance of impact vs engineering cost, and makes a measurable impact on the businessValidate experiences and product prototypes with early adopters Work closely with developer relations & product marketing to launch new features and drive product awareness and adoptionWhat do you need to bringBachelor s in Computer Science or related technical fieldMinimum of 8 years of Product Management experienceEmpathy for developers and care about challenges a developer may face during their journey to build the right product strategy.
Experience delivering low code solutions with self service capabilities for developersKnowledge of the tools and processes development teams use to develop, build, and, test integrationsStrength mapping a developer s journey, translate challenges into a roadmap, and execute with precision and transparencyUnderstanding of how SDKs, APIs are used to integrate products in sandbox and production environmentsStrong written and verbal communication skills A team player mindset and experience mentoring fellow product managers in their development journey We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates.
