Responsible for ensuring the greeting and service at the door and on the phone are at a Five-Star level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Meet and greet guests as they arrive, escort to table and present menu Maintain daily log book to coordinate communication between shifts Maintain the physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the host stand Inspect all menus daily to ensure the most accurate information is available.
Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area Always strive to exceed out guests' expectations Run the floor plan board and assign stations to service staff Observes tables and keep track of clean, dirty and occupied tables Take guest information and quote wait to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available Answers host stand phone, make any necessary arrangements for reservations and answers questions concerning the menu and venue Maintain restrooms throughout the shift when applicable Perform opening and closing duties.
Assist others with side work to include cleaning, stocking and folding napkins SUPPORIVE FUNCTIONS This position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Operation Manager based upon the particular requests of the company.
Assist co-workers, as requested, such as carrying coffee, tea pots, refilling guests cups, handling special guest requests and ensuring guest satisfaction Maintains a positive demeanor at all times Maintain an open line of communication between guest and management staff Attend required meetings Knowledge of restaurant operations, to include appropriate staffing levels, service equipment and guest relations Job Types:
