Summary:

Operations is a dynamic, multi-product division that supports futures, equities, securities, and derivatives markets for our clients around the world.

Futures Division clears 27 Exchange worldwide and reconcile over 70
balancing sheets.
Clearing team is responsible for managing all client and executing brokers Exchange cleared trades.

Futures Balancer within the Futures Division at Mizuho Securities USA LLC requires a motivated individual to perform key control functions.
They will improve and help build processes related to trade clearing, middle-office management, manuals, and regulatory reporting.
Futures Balancer is focused on Exchange and Carry broker requirements.


Responsibilities:

  • Balance Exchange & Carry broker positions and monies to GMI.

  • Perform timely client and trade & regulatory inquiry investigation, issues resolution and remediation.

  • Interface with Exchanges, brokers firms and clients on trade issues.

  • Master firms technology systems - Middle-office, RPA, Duco and GMI.

  • Complete daily operational reporting & controls; identify risk trends.

  • Ensure all trades are cleared in clients account on trade date.

  • Understand and adapt to Regulatory and Industry changes.

  • Ensure Executing broker trade allocations are completed on trade date.

  • Exchange and Carry brokers position close-out.

  • Internal & external trade transfers.

  • Trade checking.

  • Review LTD/FND products.

  • Evidence collections and reply promptly to audit & regulatory inquiries.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • At lease 5 years of Exchange and Carrybrokers experience.

  • OTC experience preferred.

  • Excellent follow-through and attention to detail.

  • Dynamic & proactive team player with the ability to identify process inefficiencies to improve capacity, efficiency, and control.

  • Self-starter with a proven ability to take initiative.

  • Team-oriented with strong integrity and professionalism.

  • Proper escalation of issues.

  • Strong time management skills are required to meet time critical deadlines and priorities.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; notably the ability to clearly articulate issues and influence resolution.

  • Have a growth mindset.
