3 Chicago, IL Chicago, IL Full-time Full-time $20 - $30 an hour $20 - $30 an hour Compounding is a seasoned multidisciplinary position responsible for the following MAJOR areas:
Has daily ownership of ALL activities on the compounding floor and also responsibility for executing compounding strategy (i.
e.
weekly schedule) prepared by VP of Product Development, which is developed and approved by the Management.
Provides LEADERSHIP to the compounding team and makes himself/herself commercial scale batches with desired reproducibility of OTC, Non-OTC and EPA products on time with minimal supervision under current cGMP mandated by the FDA in 21CFR while meeting customer's well defined product specifications and quantity requirements.
Manages compounding inventory process using the new ALPHABETICAL SYSTEM for internally purchased and customer supplied raw materials for their efficient use in commercial compounding (both batches by himself or other compounders).
Utilizes ERP system to find raw ingredients, ensure all materials, check quantities, check QC status, Pre-XXX (if necessary), compound product, sample for QC, sample for XXX, evacuate product, enter production, reconcile raw ingredients, re-tagged pallets.
Development efforts of new, reverse engineered and modified existing Health & Beauty, Personal Care, Household and Cleaning Products to meet customer's cost/performance requirements.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Be punctual and dependable DAILY and arriving 30 minutes to work, before the compounding team to obtain direction and daily compounding priority from VP of Product Development.
Reads and understands, interprets, and uses Master Batch Cards by himself or directs to other compounders and ensures that they clearly understand assignments.
Checks and ensures that all required materials are available in required quantities and in good Q.

Detailed activities include:
pulling CORRECT RAW MATERIALS from the inventory, conduct pre-weigh outs, additions by following detailed processing steps and explicit instructions as defined on the Master Batch Card.
