Interactive Brokers LLC, a Global Securities and Commodities business leader and US Broker-Dealer (BD) / Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) has an immediate need for a New Accounts Administrative Assistant in our Chicago office.
In the absence of direct industry experience , we will also consider applicants with excellent Bachelor's-level educational credentials who have some background with strong analytical and qualitative skills.
Responsibilities :
As the New Accounts Administrative Assistant , you will assist the Compliance Officer with following up on pending reports and projects on a daily basis.
Resolve administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
Provide information by answering questions and requests Ensure that the account opening process satisfies the client's needs via complete and through responses to account opening questions and concerns.
Correspond with clients, sale representatives and customer service representatives.
Follow internal policy and procedures when dealing with any account-related suspicious activity.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Perform administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors.
Update and chase delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines Compose correspondence/reports for own or manager's signature Check deadlines on incoming requests and put preliminary work in play Process replies on own initiative or from managers' dictation or notes Fix commitments to maximize manager's time efficiency Set up exception reporting system to handle routines without supervision Take initiative on requests and inquiries Qualifications :
College degree is required.
0- 2 years experience Knowledge of the SRO, Broker Dealer and/or FCM environment.
High proficiency with desktop applications and MS Office suite of products is required.
Must be comfortable working in an automated, hands-on environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skill sets are important prerequisites.
Additional preferred Skills :
Knowledge of UNIX, SQL, Perl is a plus Experience with an SRO, Broker Dealer or FCM Experience within a Compliance Department, internal audit, legal or a control function of a SRO, BD or FCM.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
