Health System Specialist (Group Practice Manager)

Duties included but not limited too Responsible for primary care, mental Health, specialty care, ambulatory surgery and all other ambulatory clinics oversight and integration into an efficient Clinical Practice Management Model Responsible for supporting high quality accessing, cost effective health care services ensuring an exceptional Veteran patient experience is development, standardization, implementation and sustainment of key operation/business processes, including scheduling practices to ensure efficient and effective management of the clinic. Provide access related consultative services to VAMC, VISN and National leadership Work with National Program Office in collaboration with Service lines to review and develop national guidance and policies that will facilitate standardized processes Review and provide input on national issued regulations and policies for VA-wide implementation utilizing local ACOD-GPM and communication strategies Work with Veteran Experience advocate at the facility to evaluate patient and family concerns regarding the access to services needed. Align local processes with planning and policies at the network and national access leadership levels Service as the supervisor for a unit engaged in clinical access and data analytics Lead program planning and execution for VHA approved program of clinic practice management at the Facility level Use Advances Principles and Strategies for Access Improvement to review and provide guidance to Clinical Leads Work with local personnel to integrate data analytics and measure with continuous process improvement utilizing LEAN, Six sigma and other improvement methodologies to meet and sustain ambulatory cares goals and objectives Incorporate Lean management, system redesign and process improvement based upon knowledge of VHA and local MyVA organization philosophy, policies and management principles. Work independently with medical leadership and personnel and the Facility, CBOCs and other facilities to implement national ans VISN standards and address administrative process/system issues and other areas of concern. Develop both long and short term policy plan for the Facility Understand the requirements of the Veterans Access Choice and Accountability Act (VACAA) and develop and implement strategic planning initiatives to achieve all requirements. Development and maintain annual budget plan and staffing plans for outpatient care Work closely with medical leadership and personnel at the Facility, CBOCs and other facilities to formulate budget recommendations for all outpatient clinical Services Provide leadership and direction to promote the development and productivity of all employees supervised act as representative of ambulatory care management and the Chief of Staff with appropriate professional groups and administrative staff in an effort to coordinate activities and resolve any problems. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Experience:
One (1) full year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position successfully and that is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service.
