Program Assistant

Major duties included, but are not limited too:
-Serves as the primary office support person providing administrative and personal assistance to the VISN CRH staff. -Performs all secretarial duties and clerical assistance while acting as the receptionist for the CRH. -Resolves problems associated with the administration of the CRH, is responsible for research and documentation of material for reports and assists in the dissemination of work associated with the function of the office and the VISN CRH. -Responsible for a large variety of administrative duties relevant to the functioning of the VISN CRH Leadership as well as the functioning of the entire VISN CRH. -Responsible for assisting the CRH VISN Health Systems Specialist with administrative management of non-clinical business operations for the VISN. -Prepares charts, graphs, and narrative information for management reports. -Analyzes and synthesizes data from diverse sources in a variety of formats. -Prepares reports for dissemination, briefing and publication. -Analysis of data and production of reports are used by management to increase organizational effectiveness. -Composes correspondence and standard operating procedures for CRH. -Provides administrative and logistical support for VISN CRH meetings. -Maintains a calendar for all annual, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly and special reports required of the VISN CRH leadership. -Makes necessary arrangements for travel, preparing travel authorizations, notifying appropriate parties of forthcoming visits, and funding processing (travel vouchers and reports) and follow-up. -Responsible for maintaining the VISN CRH leadership team day to day calendar for upcoming appointments and meetings. -Serves as the control point clerk for the VISN CRH. -Performs a variety of activities using office automation software. -Serves as primary timekeeper for VISN CRH staff and provide general administrative support to the VISN CRH office staff and activities as needed. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-6. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Experience:
Must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, GS-5, level in Federal service that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience includes:
Using various Microsoft Office programs, database programs and office equipment. Providing administrative support to a team, produce a wide variety of statistical data, prepares spreadsheets, databases, word documents using appropriate software, and submit reports to appropriate parties. Review correspondence and/or reports for accuracy, proper formatting, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Assisting in departmental problem solving and planning alternative solutions. Preparing reports, assisting in planning, reviewing and reporting data, and statistical results. Utilize excellent Verbal and written communication skills. TYPING PROFICIENCY:
This position requires the ability to type 40 WPM. Physical Requirements:
The work is sedentary in nature. Manual dexterity is required in operation of a personal computer. The work sometimes requires walking, standing, bending, lifting or carrying light items such as paper and books. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
