GBT is also advancing its pipeline program in SCD with inclacumab, a p-selectin inhibitor in development to address pain crises associated with the disease. This US-based position will be a pro-active scientific contributor providing Health Economic Outcome Research (HEOR) expertise. This position will partner with global commercial planning, access teams and medical affairs teams to deliver high quality HEOR research in support of GBT pipeline products. This includes leading strategic initiatives and studies to assess value drivers for pipeline assets, propose endpoints for inclusion in clinical trials, and lead evidence generation to support the value proposition of the products. The Director of HEOR will also play a leadership role in designing the strategic evidence generation platform and strategic access needs for Latin America, Canada, and other regions outside of Europe that form the basis of GBT's geographic expansion. The position reports to the Executive Director of HEOR. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of HEOR and real world evidence strategies and tactics for pipeline products and indications including evaluating and synthesizing key knowledge gaps and informing clinical trial endpoint strategy Lead the development and execution of HEOR and real world evidence strategies and tactics to drive scientific communication and successful access in Latin America, Canada, and other key markets Lead strategic planning efforts for prioritized product portfolio and/or geographies to ensure that HEOR programs deliver meaningful, robust and competitive data that meet the current and future needs of key stakeholders (national / regional HTA, HCP) Work collaboratively with market access and global commercial planning to drive landscape disease state research, early and mature cost-effectiveness and budget impact models Work with regional / local access and medical leads in key countries outside of Europe to determine evidence needs and guide strategic direction of development teams to define and execute consistent and compelling product value strategies Lead, design and oversee the conduct of scientific publications to support value propositions of marketed and pipeline acute care products to meet high quality objectives Provide strategic consultation regarding methods and standards Develop and deliver Global Value Dossier for effective use by countries in gaining access for key products. Support designated country Health Technology Assessments/ reimbursement, and funding submissions Provide senior leadership with a working knowledge of HEOR and Market Access needs. Drives training on key HEOR themes Maintain strategic external perspective and stays abreast of external developments that affect the HEOR domain Oversee and manage strong research partnerships with academic research institutions, customers, contract research organizations Compliance Ensure all activities and plans are executed in alignment with GBT high ethics and compliance standards as well as with local laws and regulations
Qualifications:
Masters or advanced degree in Health Economics, epidemiology, health services research, biostatistics, public health, or other relevant field for HE&OR +8 years HEOR in or for the pharmaceutical industry Content expertise in the design, conduct and implementation of clinical outcomes trials, observational studies (incl. retrospective studies) phase II-IV Demonstrated history of developing impactful HEOR strategies to meet payer and HTA evidence needs Expert experience in tactical application of health economics & outcomes research and information at the disease and product level Good analytical skills as applied to health economic modeling, observational research and patient-reported outcomes research Demonstrated ability to accurately and effectively follow and draw conclusions from latest development and outcomes of market access efforts Experience in Latin America and/or Canada a plus Experience with pipeline products a plus Fluency in English required Fit with GBT culture:

Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
