An Inventory Optimization Manager :
is responsible for supporting mathematical modeling needs for inventory optimization & allied supply optimization processes for designated geography across the globe. The role includes statistical modeling for Multi Echelon Inventory Models (MEIO) to help North America region meet the regular inventory targets as defined by management business objectives. Statistically model the multi-tier supply chain network for each market, define appropriate inventory policy parameters for feeding them to SAP APO SNP for regular replenishment Work closely with Supply Planning function and factories to find ways to reduce the overall inventory in FG, RM/PM category or MRO category Liaison with Regional Supply Planning Capability Leads to define & support a governance a process for inventory policy parameter refresh for each region and execute it accordingly Create / leverage simulation tools and lead various required simulation and sensitivity analysis with multiple business scenarios to assess the impact of business dynamics (SC disruptions, changing manufacturing sources, deploying new production strategies etc.) on inventory and help define action plans Familiar and proficient in data extraction, handling and data consumption and should be able to provide required output via effective visualization techniques leveraging tools like Alteryx & Tableau. Supports continuous process improvement by generating required analysis, developing analytical & statistical models to resolve/detect escalated performance issues Ideate in building initiatives around inventory optimization processes across all regions for FG, RM/PM, MRO as well as allied optimization opportunities like cycle stock optimization Familiarity with Inventory Optimization Tools like SAP IO, o9, E2Open will be added advantage along with good excel working skills Education / Certifications:
Either of the following is applicable as educational criterial for the position Bachelors Degree required. Preferable in Engineering or Masters in Operations with exposure to Supply Chain Operations & Analytics APICS CPIM or CSCP or similar accreditation - highly preferred Or Motivation and capability to acquire accreditation Exposure to Lean Six Sigma & Continuous Improvement techniques will be preferred Functional /Technical Expertise :
Overall experience in field of application of statistics, analytics to SCM in Consumer Goods Exposure to packages like SAP IBP IO / Supply Chain Guru / IBM Ilog / Logility / OMP / o9/ E2Open focusing on optimization modules and open source technologies like R / Python Experience handling Supply Chain Operations & Planning processes Exposure to SAP APO SNP (preferred) or similar inventory/ planning tools Exposure to FMCG (Direct or Indirect through consulting engagements) 5
years of relevant experience Competencies /Abilities:
Demonstrated Basic Supply Chain knowledge & SC KPIs to understand inventory dynamics Possess required SC / Ops, Mathematical modelling & Analytics Education & Experience Self-Starter to handle various priority conflicts, proactive identify opportunity areas and build sustainable solutions Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills in English Drive for cross-functional results by proactively understanding and managing key issues & success criteria
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Supply Chain & LogisticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
