Your Responsibilities Maintains functional expertise on the PeopleSoft Campus Solution, Financial and other financial systems, ensuring functionalities are recording accurate data for financial reporting. Monitors the functionality of the PeopleSoft student financial system to ensure tuition, fees and expenses are recorded accurately to the general ledger. Collaborates with IT staff and consultants on annual system upgrade configuration and testing to verify that functionality of financial systems impacting student account operations remains accurate and compliant. Serves in a lead functional role in beginning and end of term processes in a PeopleSoft test environment. Creates enrollment test cases on a student's account. Reviews, tests, and validates changes and approves movement of processes into a production environment. Works collaboratively with IT staff and consultants to integrate new initiatives (e.g. student incentives, additional scholarship funding) into existing student systems. Supervises the review of student accounts to resolve inquiries as to the accuracy of charges, payments, and credits to accounts; identify problems and make appropriate system changes to corrects transactions; communicate resolution to appropriate parties. Monitors operations of student payment systems for operational efficiency including online payment gateway, student payment plans, student tax reporting, student refund management system, and financial service systems including student payment. Supervises staff engaged in processing and posting transactions to student accounts using various financial service systems. Monitors district-wide accounts receivable balances. Responsible for overseeing the posting of waivers and scholarships to student account accounts. Performs weekly and monthly reconciliations of student account receivable balances. Oversees the posting of special funds and awards to eligible student accounts, working with district staff to identify targeted student population; creating and assigning service indicators for students' accounts; and posting funds to accounts. Prepares various reports of student financial status and student accounts for both internal and external reporting requirements including reports to the Board of Trustees. Collaborates with key stakeholders on creating financial literacy programs at the colleges and promoting students' financial literacy through various initiatives. Provides continual training to staff at the district and college level on various new initiatives and business processes impacting student account operations, as well as how to navigate in the various financial services systems. Participates in ad hoc leadership committees charged with developing new business processes and solutions to effectively implement new initiatives providing additional educational funds to eligible students. Collaborates with key stakeholders in creating and documenting business processes to assist with the installation and configuration of new third-party systems (e.g. student payment plans, online payment, student tax reporting, refund management) to meet the financial services needs of student and parents. Prepares and submit budget documents identifying credit and certificate programs and their associated tuition costs for each college as required by Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) for claim submission by Veteran programs, IL Veteran Grant and the IL National Guard. Communicates business processes to college business offices to ensure institution maintains compliance with centralized internal controls. Routinely documents and updates business processes and waiver forms to be uploaded on a shared drive. Collaborates with district and college administrators on the status of outstanding receivables and implementing plans of action to resolve uncollectable accounts and debt on student accounts. Initiates process to write-off process for uncollectable accounts in coordination with the Controller. Available to work evening and weekends during peak periods Your Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance from an accredited college or university. Master's Degree preferred. Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in business, student accounts receivables or an area of student financials A minimum of 4 years of experience managing staff and operations related to student accounts Experience working in a higher education environment Knowledge and understanding of federal and state regulations to financial aid programs and third-party student financial services Administrative experience with and knowledge of internal and external audits. Knowledge and understanding of PeopleSoft Financials and other financial services systems highly desirable Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills Excellent leadership and supervisory skills Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Education AdministrationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
