Inventory Planner

The Inventory Planner manages the holistic inventory planning process which controls $10M to $25M of inventory. This individual contributor is responsible for balancing competing objectives such as service levels and inventory costs to meet company objectives. A key to success in this position is understanding how changing business conditions and management decisions affect inventory and service levels. SECTION TWO:
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the Inventory Planning process for assigned category and represent the function in cross collaborative projects. Responsible for inventory turnover, obsolescence expense, and customer service levels. Using various safety stock strategies, these competing objectives must be appropriately balanced across tens of thousands of SKU-location combinations while making decisions to align with department Key Performance Indicators. Work with accounting to ensure accurate inventory reserves. Create and communicate plans with Product Management to address excess inventory. Collaborate with Product Management to make adjustments to their plans to manage obsolescence and carrying costs. Determine ramifications of management decisions and changing business conditions to future inventory and customer service levels. Then make appropriate and innovative recommendations that align with company objectives. Evaluate new Supply Chain strategies by creating projections of inventory and service levels for planning parameter changes and differing business scenarios. Be able to explain scenarios and results to any level of management. Understand attach rates & develop plans to manage accessories relative to life of phones. Effectively tailor communication for different departments and levels in the company, up to the director level. Responsible for creative solutions for problem solving within the Inventory Planning function. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree 5
years of relevant work experience Excellent written & verbal communication skills Inventory, Replenishment, Supply, or Demand Planning experience Advanced analytical skills Advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.) Excellent written & verbal communication skills Ability to balance multiple responsibilities and reprioritize as needed Self-motivated and able to make timely quality decisions Ability to build relationships and work in a collaborative, cross functional environment Lead independently through influence within functional area and possess the ability to set strategy and a course of action. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MBA or ASCM designation SAP (ECC/APO/IBP) experience Retail or Wireless Industry experience
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Plant & Facilities ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
