Sr. Incentive Compensation Management Developer

This role will be responsible for working with a cross-functional team, providing high-quality development and support for UScellular's Incentive Compensation Management platform. This role will partner closely with the IT Lead Developer role to understand technical design documents and project solutions. This role will then convert those designs into high-quality technical solutions, including plan, feature, component, and calculation changes. This role supports the entire software development lifecycle. Location Note:
This role is available to business offices throughout our operating footprint. Essential Functions Build, maintain, and extend data models within the Varicent Incentive Compensation Management platform. Work closely with the IT Lead ICM Developer to execute test cases, including functional and regression testing. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement for both performance and maintainability. Refactor and optimize queries utilized within the platform. Perform appropriate configuration, plan, component, feature, and related changes in order to meet business needs and resolve issues. Create deployment plans and manages deployments and promotion of objects, components, queries, and plans within the Varicent system. Implement elegantly coded and effectively tuned solutions that enable high performance and ease of maintenance. Support the investigation and troubleshooting of complex business issues. Responsible for working closely with other Incentive Compensation business partners, including Incentive Operations and Systems, to resolve issues raised, including providing timely follow up and resolution. Infrequently support after-hours or overnight work as required to resolve critical business issues or manage deployments. Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Sciences or other related fields or equivalent experience 5 or more years of relevant professional work experience; preferably working on an incentive compensation platform 5 or more years of experience leading products, teams, and/or projects 5 or more years supporting or developing software applications Deep understanding of the Varicent incentive compensation management platform, or comparable platforms Experience working in all phases of the IT delivery cycle Strong business and IT technology experience Ability to break down complex processes into simple concepts and speak both technically and with business acumen Strong presence to participate in business partner and vendor discussions Strong written and communication skills Strong organization and planning skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in Scrum software development Python experience
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Software Development, HR Compensation & Benefits, Technology ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
