Sr. Systems Engineer - Technology Owner DR

What will your day look like?You will be responsible for the continued development of Alliant's infrastructure resiliency in regard to Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery. This role will focus on improvement and maintenance of Alliant's BCP/DR initiatives. Responsibilities include managing technology focused Business Impact Analysis, Continuity Planning, and testing for all Alliant's infrastructure to ensure compliance with business objectives and regulations. General direction is received from the Senior Manager, Infrastructure.Do you see yourself doing this?
Provides engineering consulting and recommendations for all new IT systems to ensure the interoperability and adherence to Alliant's technology standards and policies of all systems
Works with architects for group projects as well as internal IT and business driven initiatives
Provides appropriate hardware/software resources for business applications; performs capacity planning, workload modeling, and purchasing recommendations for new hardware/software upgrades; provides business applications enough resources for their short-term and long-term growth
Serves as a Systems Engineering expert in managing change to Alliant's infrastructure
Ensures environment is updated with current, stable versions of software products; maintains currency with operating system and support software; plan and implements major software upgrades; ensures change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed
Provides a current, well-managed operating environment for production processing and application development
Troubleshoots and successfully diagnoses server hardware or software problems of all levels of complexity
Provides 24x7x365 support on all systems to meet departmental Service Level Agreements
Provides support for business continuity by ensuring daily backup schedules are completed and provides on site support for annual disaster recovery test
Comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Well-developed project planning, management and scheduling skills sufficient to prioritize projects and meet aggressive deadlines
Ability to work a flexible schedule outside of traditional business hours with limited advance notice during testing and training exercises and to run/attend incident calls, as required by incident
Partner with leadership, subject matter specialists, and business continuity coordinators to perform and evaluate business impact analyses, and risk assessments
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the business processes, assets, facilities, responsibilities, regulatory requirements and interdependencies of the organization
Perform continuous monitoring of program activities to identify areas of opportunity for improvement, and enhanced operational efficiencyAdhere to and ensure compliance of all business transactions with policy and process of the Bank Secrecy Act. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, company procedures and policies. Maintains integrity and ethics in all actions and conversations with or regarding credit union member and their accounts. Complies with Privacy Act directives. What makes you a great fit?You'll be a great fit if in addition to the Completion of a BA/BS degree in Computer Science, IT or related engineering discipline or or a minimum of 5 years directly related experience in the design, configuration, deployment and administration of network hardware and software required, and you have:

Certification in business continuity and disaster recovery, such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), preferred
