Job can be performed in San Francisco, Houston, or Chicago Job overview and responsibilities Responsible for the accomplishment of audits and / or investigations on behalf of United Airlines in direct support of the Code of Federal Regulations Title 14, Part 121.373 (Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System), and the applicable UA and supporting regulatory requirements. Performs on-site and external compliance audits, approvals, and/or surveillance activities associated with the methods, practices, and procedures utilized within Tech. Operations and external support agencies. Perform risk assessments, generate audit reports, monitor corrective actions, and follow-up as necessary to ensure program compliance and that acceptable quality levels are maintained. Support UA continuous improvement initiatives by conducting assessments for operational compliance and performance to applicable regulations, company policies and procedures primarily encompassing On-Wing Maintenance and other supporting functions (airframe and line maintenance providers, fuel and de-icing services, on-call maintenance, line station maintenance, etc.). Participates in other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality Assurance. Position requires 40-50% domestic and international travel. Conduct surveillance of maintenance and related activities to assure compliance with applicable UA and regulatory requirements Develop schedules and track accomplishment of the performance of internal / external evaluation audits Assure appropriate corrective actions are initiated when unacceptable quality levels or non-compliance with procedural or regulatory requirements are identified Generate, analyze, and present audit findings for department and senior management Performs investigations of internal and vendor regulatory, or UA procedural non-compliance Develops reports and makes presentations on Internal / vendor Audit Summaries; Continuous Analysis and Surveillance Systems and on other subjects in his or her field of expertise Provides measured input for the processing of FAA Letters of Investigation and Voluntary Self-Disclosures Conduct investigations by interviewing relevant personnel Utilize analytical information tools such as databases and UA maintenance software Obtain objective evidence Document facts Validate root cause(s) Collaborate with relevant organizations to finalize conclusions Secure commitments as required from affected organizations and departments Create final investigation report Consults with Tech Ops organizations to interpret regulatory and UA requirements Acts as an internal consultant regarding Quality Assurance issues and policies within and across organizations as appropriate May provide technical leadership to project teams or other work groups, as assigned Actively participate in industry or regulatory meetings as the designated company representative, and maintains liaison with the FAA or other regulatory agencies in routine matters Provide constructive feedback including written reports to senior management with regard to regulatory and industry policies Required Undergraduate degree in technical, safety, or aviation related discipline or equivalent level of work experience 5-7 years of demonstrated significant achievements in aircraft maintenance, inspection, engineering, QA areas, with proven superior leadership capabilities Consistently achieved technical excellence in the understanding and implementation of aircraft maintenance surveillance and analysis programs FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant Certificate or equivalent aircraft maintenance/inspection and quality assurance experience is required Strong interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills. Working knowledge of pertinent Code of Federal Regulations and Company Manuals / Requirements Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Applications and demonstrated experience with ability to learn Company / Department IT Platforms In-depth experience interacting with FAA Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position Preferred Master's/Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred Completion of certified programs in the quality assurance field Professional certification in quality or safety
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Plant & Facilities Management, Quality AssuranceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
