Transmission Operation Supervisor

Remote Duties:
Leads a team of professional Engineers and Designers to deliver quality and timely project deliverables according to client and industry standards. Leads multiple engineering, procurement, and construction transmission line project reviews for voltages up to 500kV. Mentors junior Engineers concerning career development as well as the conceptual and physical design of extra high-voltage transmission lines. Reviews transmission line design and PLS-CADD models and provides expert advice with respect to client standards, industry practices, and the latest design codes. Develops transmission line engineering scopes of work and bid documents, and is involved in technical and strategic bid evaluation. Generates high-level project cost estimates (engineering, materials, and construction) for transmission line projects. Manages relationships with existing customers within the Power Delivery operations area and alliance partners, and develops new client relations. Provides input with respect to transmission line engineering function, planning, and operations. Education & Experience Requirements:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 3 years of transmission line design experience. Or, alternatively:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 5 years of transmission line design experience. Specific skills/other requirements:
Must also possess the following skills:
(1) Demonstrated expertise (DE) developing discipline-specific engineering and technical standards, practices, procedures, and techniques using industry-standard software such as Power Line Systems (PLS)-CADD, PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE, Moment Foundation Analysis and Design (MFAD), and LPile; (2) DE leveraging principles of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), Rural Utilities Service (RUS), and International Electro-technical Commission (IEC) to analyze, design, review, and provide input and support concerning Extra-High Voltage (EHV) transmission line design and construction projects; (3) DE executing, designing, and reviewing multiple High-Voltage (HV) and EHV transmission line projects up to 500kV; and, modeling, designing, and reviewing steel/aluminum transmission towers along and reinforcement techniques; and, 4) DE assisting with engineering and energy performance (EPC) proposals, bid reviews, construction support, and client interactions. $80K -- $100K
