Senior Data Platform Engineer
AbbVie Information Research is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to develop and integrate applications for the AbbVie R&D Convergence Hub (ARCH). The right candidate will balance hands-on technical abilities while directing work performed by external partners and technical specialists. Aligning with other program leaders, this person will play an important role in developing the ARCH, a data and knowledge platform transforming the way AbbVie scientists discover and develop new medicines. This is an opportunity to join the team building an integrated R&D data and analytics platform, powering data-driven insights that ultimately lead to better, faster decisions and therapies for patients. You will help enable and grow our culture of data driven insights and decision making, improving R&D productivity by shortening cycle times. Most importantly, by helping to unlock information like deeper understanding of novel therapies, biomarkers that are predictive of response, novel endpoints, and more, you will help find cures to make a remarkable impact in the lives of our people and patients. Job Responsibilities Develop context and quantification functionality within the ARCH, facilitating data-driven analysis in areas like user behaviors, system performance, data lineage, and cost efficiency Support continuous improvement initiatives around test-driven-development (TDD), containerization and release processes, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), and DevOps and DataOps Become the internal architect and expert for the Cloudera Data Platform and other technologies within the ARCH Lead the design and development of an ARCH API and other integration functionality Be highly autonomous and productive in performing activities, requiring only minimal direction from or interaction with supervisor. Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
