The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within the Emergency unit.
In this role the RN carries out patient care responsibilities with an emphasis on decision-making related steps in the nursing process to include assessment, diagnosis, and identification of expected outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation.
The Registered Nurse provides competent, safe, and compassionate care based on St.
Bernard Hospital Patient Care and Nursing Standards.
Formulates the initial plan of care with the Physician(s) and collaborates with them to implement a comprehensive patient-centered plan of care to achieve expected outcomes.
Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois.
BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required.
