Chicago Construction Superintendent - Residential
Chicago, IL Chicago, IL Full-time Full-time $100,000 - $150,000 a year $100,000 - $150,000 a year Candidates need heavy experience in high end remodeling and renovations and custom single family residential projects, and fluent in reading blueprints and construction details and materials schedules.
Strong wood framing and concrete foundation layouts background with ability's to understand structural details Comfortable with lighting and electrical layouts , general plumbing and HVAC layouts and ability to adjust plans in the field to accommodate change requests by homeowners.
10 years of field supervision experience preferred with an a good understanding of residential building trades and have developed a sub contractor following.
Strong communication and administration skills to interact within the design and build teams, including sub contractors, material vendors and city inspectors.
Ability to manage 5 residential projects simultaneously from sub contractor selection to final punch list and collection.
Ability to interact with purchasing staff, vendors, superintendents and field crews to clarify and/or review and explain site issues and document same in project management software.
