Summary:
The IT Support Liaison offers a flexible (onsite) work schedule that can be coordinated around a student's academic and co-curricular commitments.
The IT Support Liaison position is responsible for maintaining a region's computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk system.
The individual will provide technical support to users by researching and answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining workstations and overall LAN performance.

Experience:
IT Support or Help Desk experience or related IT academic courses, majors, minors or certificates (e.
g.
Computer Science (CS), Computer Information Systems (CIS), Software /Hardware Development, Computer Engineering, etc.
).
Experience, academic projects, and skills working with computers and cell phones are a plus! Associate's degree in engineering, computer science or IT-related fields; equivalent experience considered.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Provides answers to users by identifying problems; researching answers; guiding clients through corrective steps.
Provide IT helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user's satisfaction.
Monitor IT helpdesk for tickets assigned and process on a 'first-in, first-out' based priority.
Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received.
Modify configurations, utilities and software default settings for the local workstations.
Document and maintain local procedures.
Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses.
Report issues to the IT helpdesk for escalation.
Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required.
Participate in development of client training programs by identifying learning issues.
Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
Attend and participate in meetings, committees, seminars, conferences and in-service training programs as directed.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
