Treasury Analyst

City Colleges of Chicago (CCC), the largest community college system in Illinois, is made up of seven colleges and five satellite sites, providing more than 70,000 students each year access to a quality, affordable education.
CCC'S Treasury Department manages and invests the District's funds used for instructional programs, general operations, facility maintenance and capital improvements.
The Treasury Department's responsibilities include:
oDaily cash needs and investment activitiesoPreparation of monthly cash flow projections Monitoring compliance with the Board's investment policy and regulatory requirements Management of investment and banking relationships Implementation of cost-effective collections and disbursements processes Support the completion of interim financial reports and comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) Levy, receipt and distribution of property tax.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVEReporting to the District Director-Treasury Services, the Treasury Analyst is responsible for the monitoring and recording of treasury transactions, maintaining bank documentation, preparing various reports, schedules and bank related issues.
Performs related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESoMonitor daily bank reports and investigate exception items.
oVerify, monitor and track payroll ACH transactions.
oMonitor, reconcile and prepare reports of City Colleges of Chicago Foundation activity.
oPrepare documentation to update authorized signatories for board approval.
oAnalyze and assist with the preparation of vendor contracts and legal documents.
oExecute check void requests, ACH reversals, review and process positive pay exceptions, and generate various online bank reports.
oMaintain and updates bank documentation in compliance with the City Colleges' internal control policies.
oMaintain and monitor collateral balances and reports.
oPrepare reports and various schedules for the completion of the annual audit.
oExamine and resolve inquiries for internal and external clients.
oAdhere to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.
oPerform related duties as required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
