Talent Acquisition Specialist

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
This position is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization.
This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas.
The Human Resources Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.
DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Functions as target and niche sourcing agent for the Recruitment division to externally promote critical vacancies; creates e-mail blasts and identifies key networking opportunities.
Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
Post openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues.
Utilizes the Internet for recruitment.
Posts positions to appropriate Internet sources.
Improves the company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting.
Researches new ways of using the Internet for recruitment.
Uses social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
Reviews applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements and conducts prescreening interviews.
Schedules interviews, participates in face-to-face interviews and makes selection recommendations.
Prepares weekly reports detailing recruitment sourcing activities with great accuracy of detail; and reports confidential personnel issues.
Serves as liaison to District Office departments and Colleges to monitor job postings, quality of resumes received and to ascertain the need for additional sourcing.
Manages the Internet vendors that CCC has contracted with (Linkedin, Monster, CareerBuilder, etc.
),Temp agency contracts and other recruitment advertising vendors.
Researches confidential personnel files to obtain employee data.
Adheres to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.
Performs other duties as assigned, including participating on special projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field supplemented by two to four years of progressively responsible relevant human resources experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience required.
Previous experience in a Recruitment capacity preferred.
Must be able to work well with employees at all levels of the District.
Must be able to handle all situations with tact, persuasiveness, and diplomacy with minimal supervision.
Internet Recruiting sourcing certification strongly desired (AIRS CSSR or CIR).
At least 2 years of experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Taleo, Brassring, Kenexa, etc.
Experience with candidate disposition and management within an ATS is preferred.
At least 2 years of experience with Job posting via an ATS.
At least two years of experience with placing Job Postings on internet job boards such as Monster, CareerBuilder, LinkedIn, and higher education internet job posting sites.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary.
Must be able to present information, which may be complicated in nature, in a clear and concise manner.
Must have good analytical and research skills.
Must be self-directed and able to prioritize work required by self and management.
Must be able to use personal computers and associated software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Suite.
Experience using automated Human Resources Management Systems highly desirable.
Must be able to maintain all information in a highly confidential manner.
Ability to source a diverse candidate pool.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
