Adtalem Global Education is looking for a passionate and highly driven financial communicator with excellent strategic communications, media relations, investor relations, executive presence and writing skills.
A creative, outside-the-box thinker, this individual will be responsible for crafting and sharing our bold and mission-driven story through creative, compelling and innovative communications to national, financial and trade media, shareholders and investors, customers, employees and other key stakeholders.
The stories you tell to the financial community will aid in the company achieving a fair valuation as part of the broader Investor Relations program and Global Communications strategic efforts.
Reporting to the vice president, investor relations and matrix reporting to the senior director, media relations, the manager, financial communications will lead, execute and evaluate integrated communications strategies in support of financial communication initiatives.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to developing earnings scripts, talking points, presentations, pitches, media lists, press releases, and other materials to communicate financial and business performance.
This leader will serve as a trusted and strategic communications partner and should demonstrate a strong understanding of business, financial communications, and environmental, social and governance matters.
An exceptional strategist, writer and editor, this team member is required to translate complex information into clear, compelling messages.
This professional should also be a problem solver, collaborator and consensus builder.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Communicate with all levels of the financial, ESG, impact and sustainability community.
Develop and continually update an in-depth, comprehensive, personal understanding of the Company's operations, technology, financial performance, and business strategy Developing financial stakeholder messages for investor-related communications, including but not limited to earnings scripts and internal communications, investor relations press releases, road shows and conference presentations, and the investor relations website, and SEC filings.
Create engaging pitches for financial media outlets and acquire positive media placements Cross-collaborate with ESG, impact, and sustainability team to develop strategic messaging and engagement initiatives with external stakeholders.
Expert writing/storytelling, executive presence and acumen, and ability to swiftly capture the voice of our key leaders Provide appropriate guidance to the financial community regarding the Company's operating results and business strategies and the effects of special developments Provide stakeholders with the appropriate background to help put corporate news into context Cultivate strong relationships with top-tier national and niche financial media Proactively respond to reporter inquiries Draft a variety of PR and communications materials, including, but not limited to, press materials, messaging, press releases/advisories, media relations pitches, media lists, media backgrounders, contributed articles, op-eds, blog posts and more Stay appraised of market opinions, attitudes, and reactions to Company issues, monitoring daily financial news and managing ongoing reporting and analysis for use by senior management in preparation for meetings with investors, analysts, shareholder, media, etc.
Work collaboratively with the investor relations and global communications teams and across departments to develop and ensure activities are aligned with the organization's strategic focus and business priorities Leveraging existing financial media relationships and cultivate new contacts across a variety of sectors in top-tier national, niche, and local media.
Understand company disclosures policies/guidelines Manage calendar of events for investor relations office Completes other duties as assigned #LI-Hybrid #LI-ATGE #IND1 Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, financial analysis, communications, public relations, or a related relevant degree Outstanding writing and editing experience and knowledge of AP style required 5-7 years of relevant financial communications, media relations and/or investor relations experience required The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial markets, how they work, and what moves them, breaking news; engaging content and pitches; and social media trends.
Experience with investor and media relations software desired Strong experience working with national, local, and niche media, and investors Have strong skills in project management, time management, and developing and facilitating presentations and meetings Must be a great listener, collaborator, and influencer Possess a high level of enthusiasm and function well in a team-driven and highly dynamic environment Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously EEO We are proud to be an EEO employer M/F/D/V.

Additional Information In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $68637.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
