About the Opportunity LEARN Charter School Network is seeking School Psychologist Interns.
Interns will spend their time at two LEARN schools, engaged in school-based psychological service delivery (assessment, intervention, consultation, etc.
), under the supervision of a LEARN School Psychologist.
Interns receive training and supervision in a broad range of school psychological activities and will also have the opportunity to work with school social workers.
Interns receive a stipend of $16,000 with no benefits.
The intern follows the LEARN calendar:
July 25, 2022- approximately June 16, 2023, however, university calendars will be considered.
Roles and Responsibilities As a School Psychologist Intern, your critical tasks will include:
Direct services Academic and social emotional support Functional behavior assessment and development of behavior intervention plans Therapeutic support for individual students and groups Teacher consultation for academic and behavioral interventions Crisis Intervention Assessment and Intervention Curriculum Based Measurement- Reading, Math, Writing Universal screening/benchmarking Response to intervention Benchmark data review Tier two student selection Intervention selection Progress monitoring Intervention progress review Eligibility for special education Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support Classroom Management Special Education Standardized assessment and informal measures Instructional strategies IEP goal writing Use of Impact/SSM, CPS Audit In-service training Interns will have the opportunity to provide in-service training to members of the Network Student Support Services team and/or to teachers.
Qualifications/Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Collaborative, team player with superior interpersonal skills.
The School Psychologist Intern should be able to demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
Physical Demands Caring for children can be physically demanding.
School staff may be lifting and carrying children and equipment, and may spend time sitting on the floor or child sized furniture.
Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment.
Requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files.
School staff will also be expected to clean and maintain equipment and facility, and may move throughout the community with children.
Physical demands require the ability to stand, bend, reach high and low, stoop, walk around the classroom and kneel upwards of 60% of the day.
In addition walking up and down stairs several times a day.
Must be able to lift 15 to 20 pounds for short periods of time and push and pull 15 to 20 lbs.
Working Conditions School staff will be working in a busy and occasionally noisy environment.
There may be a number of activities and situations happening at once, and school staff will have to supervise all children at all times.
Majority of work will be performed in a general office/ school environment.
Position requires availability for extended hours plus non-traditional hours required to perform job duties.
Also requires participation and attendance at organization sponsored events and meetings.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
