Marketing Associate

Job Purpose:
To plan, develop, and implement strategies for promoting all ISMIE Companies and businesses, related affiliate programs and services to achieve established objective and outcomes.
Work in a collaborative, team environment with the Vice President of Marketing and Outreach, and other divisions as necessary, in developing and executing marketing programs and initiatives designed to strengthen the ISMIE brand, and build interest in its products, services and relationships.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Serve as the primary lead for assigned projects, including organizing appropriate staff and divisions on team, running initial meetings to discuss and plan ISMIE-related project goals, encouraging collaborative participation from the team, and executing promotion plan development.
o As directed by the Vice President, outline, develop and execute marketing plans for online and offline media, including print, digital, SEO, email, paid search programs, campaigns, webinars, symposia, educational programs, or other ISMIE-related products and/or services based on established goals and objectives.
Draft content assets for online and offline media, including print, digital, email, website, social media, and other media platforms.
o Evaluate promotion strategies for ISMIE-related products and programs with project leaders, revising as needed on a regular basis.
This includes providing promotion analysis, budget updates (where applicable), timeline and strategic updates.
o Provide ideas, information, and go-forward plans concerning marketing program health, including, but not limited to metrics, analytics, data reporting, qualitative feedback and company database attribution.
This includes providing regular reports/metrics on digital marketing/media campaigns, as well as updates on reach and market for all print campaigns.
o Recommend and outline initial project key performance indicators (KPIs) or measures of success (e.
g.
campaign engagement, leads acquired/activated/reactivated, new revenue).
o Achieve established goals for each assigned project within expense budgets and available resources.
o Recommend and outline expense projections to the VP at the beginning of each assigned project.
o As directed, conduct comprehensive research, and evaluate new services, benefits, or product ideas for ISMIE, taking into account market conditions, insurance products and healthcare audience.
o Analyze data and trends for assigned projects related to ISMIE and recommend adjustments and optimizations to VP and other project leaders based on analytics and other information.
o With direction and support from the VP, as well as Sales, Underwriting and Risk Management, research, analyze and make recommendations for participation/engagement by ISMIE at national, regional, and local events and programs.
o Manage and coordinate ISMIE's participation at national, regional, and local events and programs.
This includes, but is not limited to, completing registrations, coordinating the creation and shipping of materials, and assisting appropriate staff with their involvement/participation at events.
o Manage and coordinate the production of project materials, including but not limited to, digital, print, and mail materials, and serve as main liaison between the project coordinator (if in another division), outside vendors and the Communications Division.
o Together with appropriate staff, research, create content and execute ISMIE social media campaigns and plans.
o Represent ISMIE as assigned by the VP at local, regional, and national tradeshows or events.
o Organize and file vendor invoices, proof of concept samples accordingly, and timely process check requests and payments to external partners.
o Additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Education Required for Position:
o BA or BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
Specific Skills Required for Position:
o Excellent organizational and project management skills.
o Versed multi-tasker and driver capable of juggling tasks, deliverables and projects with changing priorities and deadlines.
o Outstanding written and oral communication skills with a talent for crafting advertising/promotional writing and the ability to communicate functionally at all levels and across divisions.
o Strong writing skills and demonstrated ability to draft and refine copy/content for the website, social media, print and other media.
o Well-versed in social media content curation and creation skills utilized in a professional/business setting.
o Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a team with other marketing professionals and other business teams.
o Solid understanding of multi-channel marketing and brand development.
o Adept critical-thinking skills and ability to strategize.
o Working knowledge of databases and content management systems.
o Well-versed in Microsoft Office software; knowledge of design/editing software is a plus.
o Working knowledge of multi-media and print production processes.
o Professional service-oriented demeanor at all times.
o Ability to perform well in a fast paced, high-intensity, high-pressure environment.
o Action oriented with a strong work ethic.
o Ability to travel within and outside the state as required.
Experience Required for Position:
o Two to four years of experience in marketing, communications or a related account service field is preferred.
o One to three years of experience working in an advertising agency, marketing consultancy in offline/online media, coordination and/or trafficking is preferred.
o Experience in the insurance, finance or healthcare industries preferred.
