Job DescriptionAs a Senior Business Analyst, Operations, you will play a vital role in supporting the COO and VP of Revenue in driving operational excellence and revenue growth within Equity Residential.
This position requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem solving abilities, and a deep understanding of business operations.
You will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing and presenting strategic insights that will enable data driven decision-making.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will have regular interactions with stakeholders and functional business unit leaders and will have the opportunity to impact important go-forward business decisions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO Perform moderate to complex research and analyses by gathering data from a variety of sources, which may include internal operational and financial data (as well as relevant external data), coupled with feedback from business partners, in order to identify trends, patterns, gaps and insights.
Develop presentations and share findings, as well as recommendations.
Use analytical and statistical rigor to answer ad-hoc business questions and drive business decisions.
Track, analyze, and report on KPIs used to determine operational performance, staffing needs, productivity, or other measures deemed valuable to the business.
Research and present options for achieving desired metric-driven outcomes to operations business partners.
Partner with the greater Data Analytics team on necessary report development, modification, or enhancements.
Identify and utilize resources within the various departments and platforms to deliver information and quantifiable financial detail.
Utilize Equity Residential systems and software to create and run reports to aid on the analysis of performance.
Act as a trusted advisor to the COO and VP of Revenue, providing valuable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Partner and collaborate with Operations leadership and Regional teams to drive cross functional initiatives that deliver impactful results.
Ask critical questions, create alternatives, react to changes in business conditions, and propose actionable outcomes.
Stay up to date on new technologies and trends relevant to the multifamily real estate industry.
Support special projects and ad hoc requests, as needed.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in math, finance, statistics, business or related discipline is required 5
years of experience in an analytics role.
Real estate experience preferred.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically/conceptually.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, Excel, and data visualization required.
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies is also a must.
Must be able to effectively organize and prioritize workload for numerous projects/tasks simultaneously.
Must be able to exhibit flexibility, working with different teams in multiple and diverse work environments.
Effective written and verbal communication skills required.
