Summary:
This position is focused on helping our customers navigate Joybird's collection, helping them figure out what pieces will fit in their space, fit their aesthetic, and fit their lifestyle.
As the face of Joybird, our store associates are friendly, solution-oriented, empathetic, self-starters.
This role is sales focused in an effort to ensure that the store is meeting their financial goals.
Design Consultants keep the conversation going with the customer over the phone or email after they visit the showroom, and provide top tier customer service.
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
oBe an expert on the full Joybird catalog and provide style advice and product recommendations to suit a customer's unique needs to help them place their order in the showroom.
oReach out to your customers who have previously visited the showroom, but not purchased, to follow-up and convert them into a sale.
oLiaise with our Customer Service team to provide the best start to end experience for our customers.
oMaximize sales by growing and maintaining a strong client base by building your own personal clientele book and driving store sales through client follow-up, phone calls and personalized outreach.
oMaintain the appearance of the showroom.
oAssist with floor model deliveries and pickups, as well as occasionally helping move furniture around the showroom.
SCOPE & IMPACT:
This role supports retail store financial performance.
Locations currently have annual targets between $5-8M in annual sales.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
oRetail sales experienceoSkillful at navigating customer service issues.
oAble to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
o1-2 years of retail sales experience.
oExperience with maintaining a personal client book.
oA passion for interior design and furniture.
oA self-starter who doesn't require direction to achieve store and personal goals.
oSolution-oriented.
oExcellent communication skills.
oComfortable with technology (specifically iPads and Macs).
oComfortable with G-Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.
).
SUPERVISORY
Responsibilities:
NonePHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
oAble to lift and mobilize medium to large items up to 50 lbs while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
