Security Guard (Unarmed)
DescriptionJob Description We are looking for a professional unarmed security guard to protect our premises, assets, and personnel.
You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions.
The goal is to detect, deter, observe, and report.
The security schedule will be alternating within the 6 City Tony's locations:
3607 W.
Fullerton Ave, 2500 N.
Central Ave, 5630 W.
Belmont Ave, 4608 W.
Belmont Ave, 4137 N.
Elston Ave, or 5233 N.
Lincoln AveTypical schedule:
2pm-10:
30pm; or 3pm-10:
30pm this will include weekends; 20-35 hours a week.
Responsibilities Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances Reports all significant security incidents to the supervising Security Officer Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property Apprehend criminals and evict violators Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences Report in detail any suspicious incidents Provides escort service to employees at the time of closing Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter Controls parking and traffic flow; enforces parking regulations Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment Perform first aid or CPR if needed
Qualifications:
Preferably one year experience in a security-related field preferably in a retail environment Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols Surveillance skills and detail orientation Integrity and professionalism - ability to remain calm, take command, provide guidance, make sound independent decisions, and resolve conflicts during incidents and emergency situations until police arrive.
Excellent verbal communication skills Requirements 21 years and older A high school qualification or equivalent.
State PERC License (optional) Basic first aid skills would be advantageous.
Physical strength and fitness.
Attention to detail.
