We are seeking a Vice President of Transmission and Substation Engineering who will lead a dynamic team of engineering consultants that execute transmission and substation (T&S) projects.
The Leidos T&S organization provides engineering service across the United States.
This is a senior leadership role within the Leidos Power Delivery Division.

The VP of T&S will provide leadership to the transmission, substation, and settings teams.
The Leidos Power Delivery team is currently ranked by ENR as a Top 5 firm by sales volume.
The team is comprised of transmission, substation, settings, and civil/structural engineers, designers and drafters.
Leidos works with over 50
electric power delivery clients in the United States.
Responsibilities will include:
Direct management of the T&S sections to deliver quality design deliverables on time and within budgets, exceeding client expectations on partnership and value.
Lead the implementation of the Leidos quality management plan (QMP) and ensure all team members are working to your engineering processes Oversee large proposal efforts, review and provide proposal approval within authorization limits.
Partner directly with a variety of utility clients nationwide to gain an understanding of both the scale/scope of project:
from engineering design through construction support.
Maintain and manage key client relationships and develop a culture that values our client's business needs Partner with the business development teams and account managers to support sales and new business activities.
Lead and champion training activities to ensure the staff in the section have the technical knowledge to execute projects with high quality.
Partner with the Project Management Office (PMO) and finance team to ensure projects are being executed with high quality and meet the financial obligations of Leidos and its customers.
Lead the team to achieve the annual operating plan metrics and ensure the team is positioned for growth in the industry.
Focus on employee initiatives that drive retention.
What Sets You Apart:
Bachelor's degree and strong understanding of electrical power transmission principles Twelve (12)
years of prior relevant experience in an engineering organization Ten (10)
years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
Five (5)
years of leadership experience in the electric power utility industry Strong communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and outlook Capable of working in an office environment with 25% travel You Might Also Have:
Bachelor's degree in engineering Licensed professional engineer Ten (10)
years of experience as a substation or transmission engineer Five (5)
years of experience engineering management experience for national scale engineering organization with team members in multiple offices in different time zones Five (5)
years of experience of C-Suite client interface Pay Range:
Pay Range $142,350.
00 - $257,325.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
