PRIMARY OBJECTIVEUnder direction of the College President, the Executive Director - College Initiatives & Projects serves as a key advisor and thought partner to the President, responsible for providing a coordinated process for prioritizing and implementing the President's goals and objectives, bringing a combination of strategic vision, adaptive management, effective project management and tactical implementation capabilities to the organization.
The Executive Director - College Initiatives & Projects works closely with the President and senior leadership team in developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining management objectives and providing operational leadership for key external, campus-wide or district-wide initiatives, capital improvement and high priority projects, business development, and strategic partnerships for the college.
The position requires a thorough knowledge of CCC policies, procedures and operations and an understanding of the college's role within the community.
Performs related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Oversees the implementation of operational and administrative activities that support the college.
Works collaboratively with senior leadership on a wide variety of administrative and executive matters, high priority projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the President.
Serves as a resource for the President and point of contact for industry and business partnersMoves forward strategic initiatives and priorities for the continued growth of the college's career and technical education programs in the health sciences.
Acts on the authority of the President to oversee critical projects with a primary focus on key initiatives affecting overall college performance that typically requires cross-functional resource allocation and coordination.
Accurately represents the President's position in internal meetings and discussions to help drive understanding and move decision-making forward.
Directs and manages projects and initiatives assigned by the President Works with senior leadership and key stakeholders within and outside the institution to define scope of projects or initiatives, and ensures goals and deliverables support the District's and the college's objectives.
Monitors implementation of projects to ensure timely, accurate and successful completion.
Cultivates and maintains relationships with community organizations, industry and business organizations, governmental and non-governmental organizationsAdvocates for and advances the college's strategic interests, promote the college's reputation, and maximize the college's visibility.
Provides executive oversight of college-wide initiatives, working with key stakeholders to ensure initiatives and projects remain on schedule.
Projects and initiatives include but are not limited to:
capital improvement projects; property acquisition and funding; development and fundraising; grant development and administration; legislative action plans; and community and business partnerships.
Works with President's office staff in managing President's schedule to ensure a strategic and balanced use of the President's time by prioritizing meetings, college events, community and business partner engagement, and public speaking.
Authors and creates reports and presentation materials Apprises President and key staff on the status of various projects Documents and provides information on the President's efforts towards the attainment of the college's strategic objectives.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follows through on tasks in an efficient and timely manner that is observant of crucial deadlines.
Serves as one major point of contact and catalyst for problem resolution by providing insightful and diplomatic communications.
Possesses and maintains broad knowledge of policies, procedures, regulations, and rules governing CCC to ensure compliance.
Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSReports ToPresidentDirect SupervisionNoneQUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university Master's degree strongly preferred Five years of progressively responsible project management or executive level experience in a highly complex, multi-layered organization Event planning experience Demonstrated ability to interact at the most senior levels of an organization and to work collaboratively across functions, levels and departments toward shared objectives Knowledge of project management principles and practices Self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness and relationship management skills (emotional intelligence) Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle high-level sensitive and confidential information Ability to exercise political acumen, tact and diplomacy Ability to think strategically while balancing several complex agendas Ability to research diverse education related topics and distill the key messages in preparation for presentations Ability to work within a culturally diverse environment We are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
