We are currently seeking an experienced full-time Maintenance Worker.
The Maintenance Worker will assist in repairs and maintaining equipment, buildings, and grounds.
An ideal Maintenance Worker candidate must have an adept understanding of general maintenance solutions, utilize critical thinking skills, and execute proper judgement when initiating repairs.
The responsibilities of the Maintenance Worker include, but are not limited to the following:
Repairs, tests, and/or replaces receptacles, plugs and cords Inspects electrical lighting and replaces bulbs, fuses and switches Performs preventive maintenance on electrical motors, fans, and controls Repairs and/or replaces ceilings, tile, and flooring Repairs walls and installs drywall Performs minor plumbing repairs and replacement Prepares rooms for painting and wallpapering Assists in repairs or replacement of motors Is licensed to drive hospital vehicles Performs snow removal Replaces filters and cleans coils Repairs doors and hardware Picks up material from suppliers Makes assorted minor repairs (i.
e.
, faucets, TVs, beds, etc.
) Moves beds, furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed Performs minor repair of non-clinical equipment Keeps records of work performed Assists in maintaining exterior grounds Regular and reliable attendance Job Requirements:
Minimum of two years of general maintenance experience; health care facilities maintenance background is required High school/trade school diploma or equivalent Excellent communication and customer relation skills Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast pace environment Thorek is an Equal Opportunity Employer Job Type:
