The Professional Development Director is an integral member of the YMCA's Early Learning team responsible for developing and managing the department's internal and external employee pipeline, interviewing, onboarding, onsite training, and professional development.
Responsible for cultivating new partnerships and agreements for student practicum assignments and employee continuing education initiatives to create a stable and viable workforce development program.

Responsibilities:
Work with local organizations, affiliates, and organization leadership to coordinate an entry level workforce development program for positions in Early Learning (For Example:
CDA certification and etc.
)Develop, assign, and maintain all required training and compliance-related training materialMonitor and track staff contingency and follow-up, which includes collecting recording and reporting status completion to the supervisor and Executive DirectorTrack completion of all training and report noncompliance of required training to immediate supervisor, ExecutiveDirector and/or Vice President of Early LearningAssist with needs assessment and gap analysis, curriculum development, instructional design, content development, course delivery and facilitation, learning assessment, and training evaluation for other employee and leadership development trainingWork with program managers to ensure compliance with any funding requirements around trainingWork closely with the Executive Director to manage effective recruiting and hiring practices, from job description development through onboarding and offboarding, to ensure smooth transitionsFoster a team-oriented, supportive, accountable work environmentRepresent The YMCA at local events, community gatherings, or workshops and trainings.
Manage the Association's Learning Management System (LMS)Welcome new employees to the organization by conducting New Hire OrientationServe as E-Verify administratorTrack new hires overdue in onboarding and send communication to appropriate parties as neededAssist with answering employee requests and questionsAssist with fingerprint complianceAssist with maintaining employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change dataOther duties as assignedMinimum and Preferred Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree required, in Business Administration or related data management field.
with at least 24 hours in ECE or CD and 9 hours in administration, leadership or managementA minimum of 1-3 years of Head Start and childcare experience providing high -quality experience in data analysis and program complianceCommitment to, and a passion for, the YMCA of Metro Chicago's missionExcellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely present ideas and concepts and tailor communication to multiple audiencesProven ability to establish constructive relationships and interact as a positive role modelCustomer service orientation with the ability to effectively communicate on a regular basis with internal customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of serviceContinuous learner who leverages opportunities for learning and applies new knowledge and skillsAbility to organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectivenessAbility to keep detailed, accurate and complete records and documentation as neededIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and ability to learn and adapt to new technologyDemonstrates evidence of YMCA Leader competencies in previous experience or practiceMeet physical qualifications required as outlined in job description.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
