Conveyor Maintenance Technician Position
Summary:
The Conveyor Maintenance Technician supports our customer base by performing planned and corrective maintenance in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
Will be available for On-Call work and will maintain the schedule of service calls properly prioritized with our maintenance agreement customers being first.
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning customer equipment.
Will use Conveyor Solutions Planned Maintenance Procedures for various equipment and follow them exactly.
Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical corrective maintenance.
This may include but not limited to lacing belts, replacing chains and sprockets, pulleys, and rollers.
Replacing and rewiring 480v 3 phase motors.
Replacing speed reducers both shafts mounted, and frame mounted.
Replacing flat, incline, V-belts and tracking them.
Replacing belt or chain take-ups, carrying rollers and snubber rollers, photo eyes, sensors and reflectors, regulators, sortation devices, pneumatic brakes, filters and stops, safety switches, and various style bearings.
Must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems and failures on the conveyor systems and rely on higher level technicians and/or management to make final decisions on more complex issues.
Perform planned maintenance such as Inspect, Adjust, Lubricate, and Report.
Knowledge of different manufacturers of conveyor models is a definite plus.
Must be able to see and hear issues to help limit possible customer down time.
Must be detail oriented to write clear and concise reports for our customers.
Must be able to accurately identify and report parts needed for repair, and spare inventory.
Perform spare parts cycle counts.
Inspect higher level customer's spare parts inventories to determine, what they have, what they should have, and quantities of each.
Other Duties:
Maintain positive attitude with service staff and company managers.
Perform the work schedule as assigned by Service Manager or Coordinator.
Maintain continuous product line knowledge to actively assist customers and coworkers with service issues.
Encourage superior customer communications skills for all dept.
personnel.
Assist with facility maintenance and issues when necessary and when your schedule allows.

Experience:
High School Mechanical experience in related field.
Skills Required:
Basic computer knowledge, Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Experience working with paperless work order systems Must be mechanically inclined.
Basic math skills and reasoning ability required.
Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
Must own your own basic hand tools.
ENVIRONMENTAL/PHYSICAL FACTORS This position works primarily in a typical (office, warehouse, etc.
) environment.
This position requires ability to lift 100_ lbs.
