Our direct end-client a large American multi-national hospitality chain is seeking to hire a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst for a 6
months contract role to work 100% remote from anywhere in the United States.
W2 contract only.
Senior Quality Assurance AnalystDuration:
6 months plusLocation:
100% Remote, can work from anywhere in United States (Preference for candidates local to Chicago IL)Position starts as mostly manual testing the longevity of the role will move towards automation in the longer term.
Supporting our client's Digital Personalization Efforts, the Quality Assurance Analyst will help test the delivery of Omni-Channel Personalization Integrations.
Client's Personalization Engine powers their Website, Mobile App, Emails, and other internal Applications to provide content and offers that are most relevant to our guests using an extensive offers and content library and AI/ML powered recommendations throughout the guest journey.
Often the work will involve working across teams to ensure they have integrated with the personalization service's APIs correctly and that the outcomes can be accurately measured.
Testing that the APIs are providing the correct data back to the integration by understanding the JSON responses, often using Postman other similar internal tools to simulate the integration.
Testing that the API callers are using the APIs correctly by manual testing the integration and often looking at Logs to see the API request payloads and validating their logic.
Testing the recommendation engine's behavior to validate the reasonability of content and offers being recommended, a combination of logic and art.
Testing that enough data is collected to ensure recommendations are performing correctly either via logs or in the data lake itselfSo that data can be used for further improving the AI/ML models and reporting.
Regression Testing when new features are released to ensure that existing integrations don't break.
Reviewing KPIs and Metrics as we make changes to ensure that application is still functioning as expected.
Reviewing Dashboards to make sure the data accurately reflects the data captured and are intuitive.
Clearly articulating any defects or anomalies to the development team at daily standups and in the form of JIRA bugs/stories.
Additionally, they will spend a lot of time working with other QA Analysts and QA Automation Engineers to formulate a test plan to automate what testing can be automated to reduce future workloads.
Participating in the QA Automation Process if time and skillset allowSuch as JavaScript/TypeScript Testing frameworks, Selenium, Cucumber, etc.
Experience And
Qualifications:
At least 5-10 years' experience testing, APIs, web apps or other enterprise software.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Experience testing client facing applicationsExperience working on a localized website.
Experience working with Responsive Design TestingExperience working with Postman or other API clientsExperience working with REST and/or GraphQLUnderstanding of Chrome Dev ToolsFamiliarity with Jira, Confluence, continuous integration, and deployment tools like Jenkins and GitlabAble to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience testing using mobile and/or tablet designs.
Experience mentoring/training other team members.
Expertise in understanding mobile first design patterns and how different breakpoints affect the layout of a page.
Understanding of Agile Development (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, etc).
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Experience working in large development groups with/across many teams.
Education:
