Medication Adherence Specialist I Role DescriptionThe Medication Adherence Specialist I will act as a liaison between the patient, provider and pharmacist.
This role must be carried out delicately by someone who has incredible customer service skills, and excellent phone etiquette.
Exercising empathy with our patients is of utmost importance while speaking to them over the phone.
Our pharmacy technicians make outbound medication adherence calls to patients and pharmacies to ensure optimal medication adherence.
The successful candidate helps us meet our goal of successfully providing the best care anywhere by providing quality and efficient service to patients.
Experience working in and small teams of Pharmacy Technicians assures that the needs of the patients and our teammates are always met.
Core
Responsibilities:
Contacts patients and assists/reminds them in obtaining refills on their medications from their respective pharmacy, whether it be retail, independent or mail order pharmacy.
Coordinates with care teams if they identify barriers preventing patients from receiving their refills.
Works to ensure our patients have a seamless experience and first call resolutionOther duties and projects as assigned/requiredThe Medication Adherence Specialist I has no direct reports and reports directly to the Supervisor, Medication Adherence.
What we're looking forWe're looking for motivated candidates with:
Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience requiredActive Pharmacy Technician License in the state you reside requiredCertified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification requiredHigh school diploma requiredBilingual Spanish a plus but not required (medical Spanish is a plus)Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Google documents/spreadsheets.
