High school education or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of related experience in a health care setting.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Customer service skills.
Ability to interact effectively and communicate proficiently.
Data entry skills.
Competent in the use of keyboard, telephone and filing.
Typing and keyboard skills:
Minimum 5000 keystrokes per hour (alpha, numeric) with 90 percent accuracy.
N/A Exposure to infectious biological specimens and sharps are experienced on occasion.
Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate.
Work requires the analytical ability to gather and interpret data.
Must be able to handle stressful situation in a calm and professional manner.
Ability to lift to 10 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to work weekends/holidays.
Purpose:
To provide accurate and timely data entry of patient data through the use of key software systems.
To perform specimen processing, receive and sort specimens and accurately track specimens.
Accountabilities:
Perform data entry of orders into Laboratory computer system Perform department clerical duties.
Participate in Quality activities to ensure excellent customer service.
Perform specimen processing.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
