Providing recommendations and expertise towards consolidation/migration of the voice estate to company standard, and proactively identifying and presenting appropriate improvements.
Technical fault finding and incident management Working as part of a Network and Voice team, with potential to cross-train.
Support IT colleagues with resolving a mixture of 2nd and 3rd line tickets Provide diagnosis and resolution of network and voice incidents Ensure resolutions are fit for purpose and implemented in a safe and controlled manner Maintain and ensure high levels of network/voice availability and resilience Oversee the day-to-day management of the Voice estate, and proactively recommend areas where improvements and additional functionality may be appropriate.
Implement change in an appropriate, controlled manner Make sure that CMDB (change management database) / documentation is kept up to date and fit for purpose Ensure work is carried out to the appropriate quality and company standards and timescales Deploy and maintain corporate standards Any additional duties & responsibilities that may reasonably be expected to be undertaken Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher's shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business Person Specification:
Cisco CUCM experience (essential) Cisco UC Collaboration experience (Jabber, Expressway, etc) (desirable) Cisco UCCE experience (desirable) Experience of non-Cisco phone systems (desirable) Experience of ISDN and SIP-based systems Experience of M&A's and coordinating Voice integration/migration projects.
Familiar with concepts such as call recording, diallers, PCI integration, wallboards, etc.
Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching (desirable) Any other qualifications (desirable) Strong discovery and documentation skills Networking and IP telephony skills in a complex environment Root cause analysis and low-level troubleshooting (e.
g.
packet capture) Any knowledge outside of Networks/Telephony (for troubleshooting purposes) Cross platform diagnosis skills using industry tools and techniques Hands-on experience of:
Cisco Switches and Routers, Cisco Voice (CUCM) Working with other technical teams and technology experts Able to explain concepts clearly to a technical or non-technical audience Able to adhere to existing processes and procedures at all times Ability to identify and suggest improvements, and provide input into the team roadmap Comfortable with learning new skills and technologies as required Able to share technical knowledge and provide training to other IT staff.
Occasional travel between locations will be required, with some overnight stays The role is a shift based in Croydon and will rotate within the hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Friday.
Some out of hours work can take place out these set hours, e.
g.
weekends.
You may on occasion have to travel to one of the regional offices when required.
